Management Structure & Divisions

Central Academic Development Organization (acronymed as CADO) is an autonomus body under, NAC, Government of India. Initially CADO was setup as "Educational Infrastructure Development Organization", which was a body set up after need was felt for a permenent body that was initially proposed by "Academics Growth Committee". The primary aim of the Organization is to provide, support  Schools & other academic institutions, in all sphere of operations in order to improve the academics, irrespective of location geographic, structural, economical or otherwise. The Organization follows a central management structure.

 

General Management Body

The general body of the CADO is the apex body. The Chairman of the organization is appointed by National Academic Council, in consulatation with Ministery of Human Resource Development. The Deputy Chairman is appointed after selection from nationwide academic institutions, and an Officer of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, specified by the Government of India for this purpose, is the Vice Chairman of the organization. Other members are appointed by the Government of India, usually retired from amongst senior officers of the Ministries of Finance, Defence, Works and Housing, Health and department of Personnel and Trainning as well as distinguished educationists usually including retired members of the Central Board of Secondary Education. National  and State Governments representative Members also join board position from time to time, also Women representatives,  and Members of reputed educational institutions & bodies also join board from time to time.

The following are the general Committees/Divisions/Groups of the organization:

3. Projects Planning Group, 

4. Budget Management Division, 

5. Academics Research Division,

6. Infrastructure Development Group &  

7. Digital Technologies Group

 

Tasks Supervision Committee

Tasks committee supervises the works & tasks allocated to various groups & divisions is completed on time. This committee also keeps a tab on the time line & distributes manpower & resources according to the need.

 

Academics Development Committee

For the development of academics and other programmes for various institutions - to help prepare guidelines for implementation of these programmes - to help Kendriya Vidyalayas realise, among others, the objectives of the Sangathan, viz., to develop the Vidyalayas as "School of Excellence" in the context of the National goals of education - to promote national integration and to review publication programmes and suggest improvements.

 

Projects Planning Group

To scrutinize the accounts and budget estimates of the Sangathan - to consider and make recommendations to the Board for new expenditure on account of major work - to scrutinize re- appropriation statement and audit notes and to review the finances of the Sangathan besides getting concurrent audit conducted.

Budget Management Division

Infrastructure development Group

The Infrastructure Development Group (IDG) is a multi-facade core entity constituted in 2019. Its objective is to encourage private infrastructure investment in developing education infrastructure that contributes to academic growth and assist in deeper penetration of education projects. The IDG has established a range of facilities and investment vehicles which provide varying types of financial, practical and strategic support in order to realise this objective.

The main aim of Infrastructure Development Group (IDG) is to mobilise private investment in education infrastructure & better utilization of public funds made available to the organization, in order to increase development provision for the weak institutions, boost growth and alleviate academic gap in the poorest institutions in various parts of the country.

Academics Research Division

Academics research is the scientific field of study that examines education and learning processes and the human attributes, interactions, organizations, and institutions that shape educational outcomes. Scholarship in the field seeks to describe, understand, and explain how learning takes place throughout a person’s life and how formal and informal contexts of education affect all forms of learning. Academics research of Education embraces the full spectrum of rigorous methods appropriate to the questions being asked and also drives the development of new tools and methods.  

 

Digital Technologies Group

Digital technologies have evolved from stand-alone projects to networks of tools and programmes that connect people and things across the world, and help address personal and global challenges. Digital innovation has demonstrated powers to complement, enrich and transform education, and has the potential to speed up progress towards Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) for education and transform modes of provision of universal access to learning. It can enhance the quality and relevance of learning, strengthen inclusion, and improve education administration and governance. In times of crises, distance learning can mitigate the effects of education disruption and school closures.
